The town of Lefkada is 385 Km far away from Athens, 420 Km from Thessaloniki and 100 Km from Igoumenitsa.
Lefkada has a bridge (free pass) that connects the island with the other part of Greece,Aitolokarnania.
The Preveza-Aktio submerged tunnel makes access to the island easy from Northwest Greece and the port of Igoumenitsa which is a major gateway to Wastern and Central Europe.
After the opening of Rio-Antirrio bridge significantly improve connections between Lefkada and the rest of Greece and the port of Patra (170 Km) which is the second major gateway to Europe.
There are a lot of flights per week (40 mins) from Athens to Aktio, on the mainland opposite the island. There are also flights to the other Ionian islands (Corfu,Kefalonia,Zakynthos). The airport is 16 Km from the town of Lefkada.
